Don Alfredo Varela, a virtuoso violinist, vanished from his home in the San Gregorio district last night under mysterious circumstances, while his violin went on playing by itself. Local police arrived at dawn and confirmed that the property showed no signs of forced entry. The authorities have classified the case as a mysterious disappearance. No photograph or recording was able to document the music accurately, which only deepened suspicions of something supernatural.
Experts in acoustics and musicology stated that no known phenomenon could explain the violin vibrating on its own.
