What about the movie?
In 2016, the film adaptation starring Emilia Clarke (yes, Daenerys Targaryen) and Sam Claflin was released. In my opinion, it doesn’t fully capture the depth of the book, but it’s a fairly faithful and moving adaptation., it’s a pretty faithful and touching version that has moved thousands of viewers to tears.
The music, the aesthetics, and the actors’ performances reinforce the main message: loving also means respecting.
Opinion
This book broke my heart… but in the best way. It made me rethink a lot of things about life, about how we use our time, and about the importance of small actions. Louisa and Will didn’t just find each other, they transformed each other. And they changed me, too.
I cried. I laughed. I got angry. And when I finished, I sat in silence, my heart aching, knowing I had read something special.
